Bye Snow

Lucy catching some serious air.

On the frozen lake!

I had to say good bye to the snow yesterday and fly back home to Ohio. As always, it was a great visit filled with lots and lots of snow! There is a nice little park about a 5 minute walk from Michael's house where a creek runs through the center, we took the dogs on quite a few walks in the snow. I can't wait for winter to finally reach Ohio.

Snow Globe

To my utmost delight, there was a good deal of snow on the ground when I landed in Missoula on tuesday. The first image is of my brother's front gate and the second is the view from the house we rented on a beautiful mountain lake. It's almost like living in a snow globe! It's so lovely! Call me crazy, but I just love snow, it's fun to get to enjoy it in such a wonderful setting.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow I leave for 6 days in Montana to celebrate thanksgiving with my brother! I'm looking forward to snow covered mountains and good times with great people!

Tehe

This makes me smile, big time. Two things I love, old VW's and mustaches, what more could I ask for?

Free Stuff is Neat

Free!
I got this lovely feather necklace at a fun little store in the Short North the other day while my awesome friend Erin was visiting. As the sales person was ringing me out, I noticed some pretty freaking sweet colorful watches sitting on the counter and I had to ask how much they were (even though the only reason I would have wanted one was because of the bright color). The response I received was awesome, the sweet girl behind the counter said I could just go ahead and have one, since she wasn't sure how well they would hold up as the quality was slightly questionable. I was SO excited! I picked out the loudest one there, and I love it. Not to mention the awesomeness of my new necklace.

ImagineNations

I couple of things you may know about me, I love globes, and I love where the wild things are. So when I came across this amazing work of art, about died (not really). Wendy Gold is the brilliant creator of these beautiful globes...I want them all.

Check out her other work here!

In a Perfect World

I suppose I'm feeling a little dreamy today, seeing that I just picked out an entire outfit from Anthropologie. One can pretend right? At least I didn't venture from the sale page. I know better than to even pretend I can afford the full price items, but it sure is fun to look!

Silly

I was wasting time looking through some old photos on some random disc and came across this picture. I think it's from junior year of college during a shopping trip with some of my favorite ladies. We found this photo both and had to try it out. It's silly and it makes me smile.

Today

It's been grey and cold today and it's making me want to hold on extra tight to those last few nice days of late fall. I was able to enjoy one such day yesterday on a hike with the dog. I snapped this shot along the trail.

Treats

I made caramel apples today with homemade caramel...and let me tell you, taking the time to make your own is SO worth it. It's really not that hard, the only "special" equipment you need is a thermometer and a little bit of patience. I had some left over caramel that I just poured onto a buttered plate, drizzled melted chocolate and sprinkled crushed toffee bits on top. I of course had to test the quality...a few times.

Boot Season

It's boot season! I always look forward to this time of year. I got these awesome vintage Justin boots last May and have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to wear them. They look exceptional with these jeans. I'm pretty sure I am a little bit in love with them.

Flea Market Dress

Look at this lovely little number. I noticed it a while back, considering it as a fun summery dress. I don't normally go for anything strapless though, being so small chested, but I decided to go out on a limb and give it a shot. Wouldn't it look adorable with a bright little cardigan or colorful belt? I think so. Check out Spool No. 72 for lots more beautiful pieces.

Tree House

Look at this luxury tree house! It looks so tranquil and quiet there, can you imagine sitting on that deck drinking your morning coffee? I sure can.

Livingstones

Check out these awesome pillows! They're advertised as something for kids...but I totally want some! How cool would these look on a bed with natural tones? It would look almost like a cozy little cave paradise...if there is such a thing.
