Crabby

This was the view outside my bathroom window yesterday. I love this crabapple tree, it's so beautiful in the fall with these red berries and the spring with lovely little white flowers. The water droplets were so sparkley it almost looked like christmas lights.

Blurry

I went on another nature walk with the lensbaby yesterday. I just love this time of year. I was lucky enough to be out in the woods when the sun set, setting all the fall colors afire with golden sunlight, it was lovely!

Sigh

Sigh.
For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of living in a tree house. Maybe someday I can live in one like this, spotted over on apartment therapy. Can you imagine how cool it would be to be in a tree house during a rainstorm? It would be awesome.

Lensbaby

I went on a little "nature walk" yesterday with my puppy dog. I received a lensbaby lens for my birthday and I finally got a chance to try it out. It is a 50 ml lens that distorts the edges of the image. It was such a beautiful fall day, I'm hoping to squeeze a few more days outside before the weather takes a turn for the worst.

Props

What a lovely couple.

I even got the BF to join in.

My parents looking fantastic.

For her wedding, Elizabeth made a photo booth using a fence in her back yard as the backdrop and gathered props. I made the mustaches and I have to say, the whole idea was a real hit. Can you see the family resemblance between my mom and I? These pictures really make me smile!

Bunting

I made these for Elizabeth's wedding this past weekend. This was probably my first big "sewing" project (I don't sew) and I must say that I was pretty happy with how they turned out. The success of it makes me want to make tons more for my own pleasure. The wedding was amazing, beautiful and everything I had hoped it would be. We all happily put a lot of time and love into it and I'm so happy for Elizabeth and Paul. More pictures to come!

Sharon Montrose

The work of Sharon Montrose is just breathtaking. I love the simple clean background and the idea of placing animals in such an out-of-character location, it really draws the eye to the subject.

Photo courtesy of Sharon's website...check it out!

Chalkboard

Check out this awesome chalkboard kitchen wall I spotted over on apartment therapy! I've always dreamed of doing something like this in my own home someday. The shop where I work has a full wall painted with chalkboard paint and out menu and prices meander their way across the wall...it's pretty neat!

Background

This photo is set as the background on my computer right now. Every time I look at it, I smile. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to experience and see such beautiful sights. Even on a bad day, its nice to be reminded of the extreme natural beauty that surrounds us.
