Check-In

Hey ya'll...just checking in. I'm wrapping up my visit in Charleston, SC this weekend. It's been a great time catching up with my high school friend and just doing a whole lot of relaxing. Not too many pictures from this trip but more MT ones to come!

All around an amusing sight.

As you may know, we are a scuba diving family. Being in a land locked state has never stopped us before, so yesterday my brother took dad and I on a dive in one of the surrounding rivers on an epic quest for crayfish. Armed with gloves, mesh bags and nerves of steel we made our descent into the murky 60 degree water and harvested some of the largest crayfish I have ever seen!! It was so much fun, as you can see from the above photos, we were not lacking in our bounty. The river bottom was literally crawling with these critters! The last image was included purely for my amusement...just before I took this shot, the flames were about twice that high and dad appeared angry, it was funny. Don't judge me for my odd sense of humor...

I've Made It

Well I've made it to the glorious Montana. I arrived yesterday afternoon and we made it up to the lake house we've rented today. It's beautiful, but thats kind of obvious. I'm looking forward to long hikes and countless hours of reading on the dock.

Pack This

I can't believe it's august! I also can't believe that I leave this friday for 10 fantastic days in Montana. In preparation for this adventure, I could really use a Pack This! checklist. I am notorious for making lists and this just looks awesome and much needed. I may just have to hop over to the container store and snag one of these babies. Aaahh, I can almost smell the crisp mountain air!
