Pet Appreciation Day

If this doesn't make you smile, I'm not sure what will. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, but isn't that the most innocent face? Elizabeth made the observation that she kind of looks penguin-like, which is just as cute. I think that everyday should be Pet Appreciation day.

P.S. I have no idea if there even is a pet appreciation day, it is a self declared holiday.

Whimsicle

Doesn't this look so magical and almost fake? Not to mention that this guy was about the size of a softball. Apparently everything in Montana is bigger.

Vintage Beauty

I had the great pleasure of taking Elizabeth and Paul's engagement photos Tuesday. Now I realize this one has nothing to do with being engaged, but I just had to share it! Her outfit is from Anthropologie, big surprise, and that is my old twin lens camera...the entire look is just fantastic. Nice job being awesome Elizabeth!

Look Up, Look Out

If you look "up" in the first image, the tiny little dot at the top of the rock face is me. If you were in my position at the time, your view would be most spectacular, as shown above. Everywhere I looked there were amazing views like this one. Need I say more? Thanks again Montana for being awesome.

Drift Wood

Doesn't this drift wood almost look like something with fur? I love the way it looks. There were full trees that looked like this along one of the lakes we explored in MT. I just love the color, it's such a beautiful shade of almost silver.

Wishing

Wishing I was still in glorious Montana, sitting right here reading a book and sipping on some sort of delicious drink...sigh.

Imprinting

While I am extremely excited about the rapid approach of fall, I am definitely enjoying this last bit of green before it all goes away for the next 6 months. I know there will be a time in the middle of february when I'll be dying for some green...so enjoy these wonderful late summer days!!

No Words

I received this lovely little number from my dad yesterday for my birthday. He made the handle out of lignum-vitae, some fancy wood from far off places. I am in love with it, the grain is so intricate, it almost looks fake. I just had to share it.

60 Years Together

My BF's grandparents are about to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary and I took a few photos of them for an announcement in the local paper. I snapped this image before they could "compose" themselves for the paper shot. Aren't they adorable?! It just melts my heart. Happy 60th anniversary Lyle and Elaine.

Happy Birthday to Me

Check out the totally amazing early birthday present I got myself!!! I'm sure I would have found some other excuse if it hadn't been my birthday month. Three really awesome things about this bag: 1) it was on sale, 2) it has fish on it, and 3) it's from Anthropologie! Need I say more? It's the perfect fall bag...even if it is far too large for my own good. I'm in love.
